Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Early winter sunlight casts pale light over the rusted façade of corrugated tin nailed to the front wall of the Spizzerinctum Land and Cattle Company building in the old mining town of Randsburg, in California's Mojave Desert. A rusty pipe fence, a broken lantern and cast iron cookware strung around a wicked-looking purple cholla that's encrusted with bright yellow fruit, decorates the front yard. Rough wooden shutters are pinned back to reveal a collection of vintage bottles displayed behind streaked windowpanes.
